Hello Everyone!
I hope you had a very relaxing Labor Day weekend! Here are a few highlights of what is happening this week in Fifth Grade...
Religion- We are learning about how to explore the ways Jesus shows God's love. We will be identifying the meaning of the Kingdom of God and how we can share the Good News about the Kingdom of God with those around us.
Math- We will be learning about comparing and ordering numbers from the billions all the way down to the thousandths place. The students will be learning how to round numbers to specific places, estimate sums and differences and learning addition and subtraction rules.
Science- This week we are learning about the circulatory, respiratory, digestive and excretory systems. The students will be learning the parts of each body system. They will need to label the digestive system on their test. So make sure they practice identifying the parts of the digestive system. We will be gaining a greater understanding of how each system has a specific job or function to do and how they all work together to keep our bodies healthy!
